Malcolm Napier, Director

Malcolm has nearly 30 years experience, covering both Public and Private sectors. He is usually engaged to enable organisations to find innovative, cost effective ways to use technology to achieve transformational objectives and targets.
He is a senior manager with experience in Business Strategy and Programme Management.
His extensive experience in the application of Information and Communication Technology to new markets and innovative projects means he is as comfortable leading teams in start up as he is working with well established organisations to ensure they are aware of the potential of technology when conducting strategic review.
He has worked with a diverse range of organisations including electricity companies, financial institutions, Central Government departments/agencies, and Local Authorities. LEB, Scottish and Southern Electricity, Lloyds TSB, the Learning and Skills Council, the DTI, Reading Borough Council and London Borough of Wandsworth are among his clients.
Malcolm has strong analytical and project management skills. He is able to take a complicated set of inputs and turn them into something that people can understand and implement in a structured way.
His creativity and well developed communication skills have made him a valued advisor in Government circles. For example, he coined the term "National Grid for Learning" and ran the pilot programme (a partnership between BT and ICL/Fujitsu) that led to the Government's policy on the adoption of ICT within schools.
As the father and carer of a young man with autism, Malcolm has many years experience in dealing with the best and worst of public services in Education, Health and Social Services. He has been a governor of a school for children with special needs for more than 10 years. He is passionate about the need for, and benefits of, a person centred approach to the delivery of public services.
