Undertaking a successful service transformation programme requires the effective use of technology to deliver services in line with citizen expectations. Although modern computers are getting smaller and more powerful, they still need reliable electricity supplies to run 24/7. e-mpirical have just completed a fundamental review of the power requirements for the next phase of transformation. The review includes maximising the use of existing power in the Civic Centre keeping one eye on the requirements of the new civic building due to be complete in late 2010.
