Sean Langley, AssociateSean Cameo

Sean Langley IRRV began his career by spending more than 19 years employed in Local Authority Revenues & Benefits. This practical service delivery experience included successfully managing a team through a competitive tendering process, for a contract worth £12m and annual turnover in excess of £100m.

Since leaving to work as a freelance Consultant, in 1999, Sean has worked on a variety of assignments for over 30 client organisations. These assignments have included:

  • a number of Interim Management positions, where Sean has extensive technical knowledge and proven ability to motivate staff (clients include ITNet plc, Daventry DC, East Lindsey DC);

  • deployment as a Change Agent, where Sean is well-versed in managing organisational change without loss of performance (clients include ICL (UK) Ltd,  Coventry CC, West Lindsey DC);

  • undertaking Best Value & Lean Service Reviews, where Sean has consistently delivered results, to deadlines within budget, to customer and client satisfaction (clients include Mouchel Business Services, Rhondda-Cynon-Taff CBC, Southwark LBC);

  • Project Consultant for the Institute of Revenues, Rating & Valuation (IRRV) on the development of their on-line e-learning tool for Benefits & Revenues.

Sean has been a fully qualified Corporate Member of the IRRV since 1985. An adept public speaker, he is now a published author; Sean’s book, ‘The phat Controller (A Leadership Handbook)’ was published in the summer of 2008; and he is now in the process of penning his first novel.
